● Bank decline (Do Not Honor): The customer's bank declined the transaction for a generic or unspecified reason, often requiring the customer to contact them directly.

● Card restrictions: The card may not be set up for online, international, or recurring payments.

● Fraud suspicion: The transaction was flagged as high-risk by Shopify's fraud detection or the bank's security filters.

● Technical issues: A temporary connection issue between the payment gateway and the bank, or a browser/internet issue on the customer's end.

How to Troubleshoot and Resolve

For Customer Payment Failures:

● Double-check their payment details for accuracy.

● Contact their issuing bank for details on the decline.

● Try an alternative payment method (e.g., PayPal, Apple Pay, a different credit card).
